Digital India: 5G is coming in India. Testing will take place in 100 days

Telecom Minister Ravi Shankar Prasad on Monday said that the spectrum of 5G and other bonds will be auctioned in India in the current year.  He said that the revival of the companies owned by the government owned Mahanagar Telephone Nigam Limited (MTNL) and Bharat Sanchar Nigam Limited (BSNL) will be my priority.  He said that telecom companies should maintain professional and cooperative role.  The current 5G spectrum auction will be done in the current year.  I would prefer to carry out 5G tests in the first 100 days of the country.  Also, five lakh WiFi hotspots will be installed across the country.  In addition, the telecommunications equipment manufacturing sector will be emphasized.  Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recommended the auction of 8 thousand 644 telephones.  It also includes the 5G service.  For this, the base price has been fixed at Rs 4.9 lakh crore.

The Telecom Sector in the financial crisis complained that the price is not affordable.  On Prasad said that the recommendation of the TRAI is recommended.  It will consider the Standing Committee on Parliament, Finance Committee.  The cabinet will then decide on this.

The health of MTNL and BSNL government companies is important from the point of view of patriotism.  At the same time they need to become a professional.  I will try to revive them.
